Stephen H. Knight was born in Salem, Mass., Oct. 31,1862, son of Edward H. and Mary (Russell) Knight; graduated from Harvard,1883, and from the New York Homeopathic Medical College in 1886. He came to Detroit in 1898, was the first house surgeon of Grace Hospital, chief staff surgeon until 1923, and then chief of staff and consulting surgeon until his death.
